GWP blogspot

This blog is going to be a mix of what I'm up to now, a look back at some of my past favourites, maybe some equipment and technical stuff and whatever else you would like to see...but primarily with a photographic theme.

Shine on

Hi All…I hope you are well.

Currently, here in Tasmania, a relative feeling of normality exists. I think relative is the key word…there are still quite a few restrictions in place, but the imminent chance of Covid infection and associated anxiety is not as prevalent. Interstate and overseas travel is still an issue (seriously who would want to be travelling overseas at the moment?) but within the state it is no problem.

For me work is picking up…not to pre-lockdown levels, but way better than when everything was suddenly forced to shut down, postpone or cancel.

One of the more enjoyable shoots I have had in a while was to photograph the Burnie Shines feature artist Joanna Gair.

As most of you would know, people and their passions was the theme of my first exhibition…and photographing people is one of mine.

Here are a few images from the shoot. It was great getting to know Joanna better and trying to capture some of her personality. All of the images are with the Canon 5D mk4 and Sigma Art 24mm.

The images were commissioned by the Burnie City Council.

I hope you enjoy them.

Until next time…
